In line with the LGCDP-II program document to achieve the intended results of output 2 in the areas of Accountability, a 3-day Capacity Building Refresher Training was Conducted for the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Western Region. The training was organized, facilitated and managed by LGAF Secretariat Lalitpur and RCU Pokhara. Its main aim was to orient CSOs personnel to gain more knowledge on the process of Compliance Monitoring of Local Bodies and strengthen an overall Social Accountability in the areas of service delivery and development works.
Three days long capacity development refresher training on Social Accountability and process of Compliance Monitoring of Local Bodies was organized from 17-19 October 2016 in Dhulikhel. The training was held for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working under LGAF/MoFALD of Dhulikhel Region. In total, 31 participants from CSOs took part in the training. Local Governance Facility (LGAF) secretariat organized this training with the support of LGCDP RCU Dhulikhel.
A consultation meeting was held between Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development with the development partners of the Local Governance and Community Development programme on 5th October 2016 in the presence of honourable Minister, Mr. Hit Raj Pandey, and honourable state minister, Mr. Shree Prasad Jawayegu and Mr. Kedar Bahadhur Adhikari, Secretary of MoFALD.
05 October 2016, Hetauda. A three day capacity building refresher training on social accountability to the field staffs of civil society organizations (CSOs) working under Local Governance Accountability Facility (LGAF), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) was organized in Hetauda from 03 to 05 October 2016. The objective of the programme was to update the knowledge of the field level staffs of CSOs about tools of social accountability and methods of compliance monitoring of the local bodies.
A three day induction programme for LGCDP focal person was organized at Hotel Rubus, Dhangadhi, Kailali from 12 August 2016 to 14 August 2016. The total number of participants including RCU Dhangadhi and PCU were 33 out of which four were women. Focal person from DDC Darchula was not present. PCU and RCU specialists alongside DP cell representative facilitated the programme. Local Development Officer from DDC Kailali and Executive Officer from Dhangadhi were also invited as guest of the programme who were present during the opening ceremony.
From 24 to 26 August 2016, Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP-II), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), organized a three day induction training in Hetauda to the focal persons (FPs) of LGCDP, working at District Development Committees (DDCs) and Municipalities situated in the area of Regional Coordination Unit.
Dhulikhel Regional Coordination Unit supported LGCDP Programme Coordination Unit to hold three days long Induction training to focal persons of DDCs and Municipalities from 16 to 18 September 2016 at Araniko Hotel, Dhulikhel. Total 46 focal persons participated in the training. The training sessions were delivered from National Programme Director, National Programme Manager, PCU specialists and RCU Experts. The training provided theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the LGCDP programme framework and implementation model.

LGCDP Regional Co-ordination Unit Pokhara has successfully completed the Induction training program for the Focal Persons including Program Officers and Engineers on September 10-12, 2016.
