Regional Consultative Workshop of Local Governance and Community Development Program organized by Regional Coordination Unit Dhulikhel in Collaboration of Program Coordinate Unit, MoFALD completed on 23 Dec, 2016. The Workshop was organized to assess progress of current ASIP and AMEP, share the FRRAP indicators aiming to reconcile the existing LGCDP audit arrears for better Public Finance Management. The purpose of the workshop was also to prepare a transition plan for sustaining the LGCDP initiatives, propose the program activities for transitional period of the LGCDP and to assess the potential program activities for the next phase of LGCDP. Delivering the program opening remarks, National Program Manager Resham Lal Kandel expressed his belief that the workshop would be able to explore the learning of existing LGCDP program and that would finally support to design the new programme. He further emphasized on the fiduciary risk reduction of local bodies along with LGCDP program. The workshop was facilitated by Environment Specialist Ekraj Sigdel and Capacity Development Specialist Keshav Acharya. The two day session was concluded by the chair of Regional Coordinator Mr. Puspa Basnet.
