The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has concluded performance contract with 21 districts development committees to make them more competent, accountable, service oriented and responsible by pursuing reforms on service delivery mechanism.
Dr. Som Lal Subedi, respected Secretary of MoFALD signed the performance contract with local development officers of the concerned districts in the presence of Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal, officials from the National Planning Commission and the Ministry of General Administration on Sunday. Respected Secretary said the contract comes into force immediately and the responsibility to implement the contract will lie with the local development officers.
MoFALD has identified as many as 14 areas and indicators of the performance contract for evaluation with varying weightage marks out of the total 250. Respected Secretary informed that Mofald was planning to gradually extend the scope of performance contract to all 75 districts.
