This is brief report on visit of Norwegian Development Minister (Hon. Mr Nikolai Astrup) and team of delegates to Bigu Rural Municipality, Dolakha District on 7th March, 2018. The major objectives of the visit were to inaugurate the new school building of Devitar Basic School and interaction with new elected representative on the local governance issues.
On 17 December, 2017, a joint team of Ministry officials, Development Partners and other staffs visited Melamchi Municipality and Sindhukot Citizens Awareness Center (CAC), Ward No. 5, Melamchi in Sindhupalchowk.
On 3 November 2017, a team from Asian Development Bank (ADB) consisting of Cigdem Akin and Sheela Mariyano from Head Office and Rachana Shrestha from ADB Nepal along with PSU Dhulikhel team visited the Ward no. 12, (Mahendrajyoti CAC), Banepa Municipality and interacted with the members of Citizen Awareness Center. More than 50 community members had participated including CAC members. The team had interesting interaction and discussion regarding the impact of LIP and SIG on the livelihood of the CAC members.
On 2 November 2017, a team from Asian Development Bank (ADB) consisting of two members from Headquarters in Philippines and one member from Nepal Head Office visited the Ward Office of Ward No. 10 situated at Ugratara Janagal, Banepa, Kavre.
On 20 April 2017, a team of UN Board members from New York, USA visited members of Citizen Awareness Centre and Ward Citizen Forum of Ward 7 of Belkot Gadi Municipality, formerly Ratmate VDC of Nuwakot District. The visit was focused on observing UN’s works at the local level from different UN agencies in Nepal. The team members were representative of different UN agencies like WFP, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNOPS, and UNDP, and from various countries like Mexico, Japan, USA, Mauritius.
