19 December 2016, Hetauda. A one and half day regional level annual consultative workshop on Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP) was organized in Hetauda on 18-19 December 2016. The objective of the programme was to share the regional level annual progress achieved in the previous fiscal year, lesson learned by the local bodies, and to gather the suggestions regarding the potential areas to be considered while devising transitional and successive programmes of LGCDP.
05 October 2016, Hetauda. A three day capacity building refresher training on social accountability to the field staffs of civil society organizations (CSOs) working under Local Governance Accountability Facility (LGAF), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) was organized in Hetauda from 03 to 05 October 2016. The objective of the programme was to update the knowledge of the field level staffs of CSOs about tools of social accountability and methods of compliance monitoring of the local bodies.
From 24 to 26 August 2016, Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP-II), Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD), organized a three day induction training in Hetauda to the focal persons (FPs) of LGCDP, working at District Development Committees (DDCs) and Municipalities situated in the area of Regional Coordination Unit.
DDC Website Training for DDCs under Biratnagar and Hetauda region of LGCDP was organized at Hotel Jungle Safari Lodge, Sauraha from June 12 to June 14. The training was provided to ICT Volunteers and DDC officials responsible for managing the DDC website. Regional ICT Experts of LGCDP, Bikram Khatiwada, Apurwa Singh, Avilash Chakrawarti and Deepak Raj Dawadi were responsible for delivering the training as resource person.
